The group of sea area defense ships based in Kamchatka in Russia’s Far East has received a new Project 21980 Grachonok-class anticommando boat, Russian Pacific Fleet spokesman Captain 2nd Rank Nikolai Voskresensky said. The boat’s equipment allows detecting and shadowing underwater targets, he added. "This is the fourth Project 21980 boat delivered to the Pacific Fleet under the state rearmament program. The boat is designed to counter enemy underwater commandos and support friendly divers at naval bases,"Voskresensky said.
